Some of the artes Eleanor and Magilou can use are clearly malak artes in nature and not hidden artes or martial artes, like Eleanor healing someone 100 feet away from her with an arte. In this setting, you have to have a malak cast your artes for you. How do Eleanor and Magilou use magic? I'm referring to artes that clearly aren't the little elemental flourishes in melee that many Tales of characters can pull off naturally. Without going to far in stretches of logic, am I probably correct in assuming that we can just apply Vampire the Masquerade's "the Beast" principle here, to some extent? Her hunger becomes so extreme that she loses complete control of herself, basically blacking out and killing relentlessly until she's sated?ĥ.
Kamoana changing from a green goo girl in an ent mouth to being a bipedal demon and back again: I realize Velvet can make her demon arm come and go, but Kamoana seems to be practically feral in this "ent/goo-girl" form.
Although Magilou never says she's the storyteller or that she's trying to do that, her book skirt would advance the idea, and in the ending, she's writing as though it's a journal while she's observing what Eleanor and the rest of mankind are up to before she moves along. However, I'm assuming she is the original storyteller in the world, because her adoptive father seems to just be a creep who has no interest in chronicling history. Does the game ever present Magilou's true purpose for being in the party? I'm guessing that this is where Zestiria knowledge is mandatory, because when her name is revealed to be Magillanica Lou Mayvin, the name Mayvin should be a huge red flag that she's the storyteller, who is the chronicler of the history of the world.

Could someone please explain how Teresa who would not know how to do this, did this without any powers or apparent knowledge of how?ģ. She gets butthurt that her pretty-boy brother got nommed by Velvet, and lets a therion daemon akin to Velvet nom her.only to completely take over the daemon and merge with it in control, which is absolutely nothing like how things work when Velvet noms people. She only knows that she has compatibility with Innominat, though she has no experience with armatization herself, or being a daemon. Okay, so in the marshlands, Teresa has zero powers as her pact is over, etc. 100% human Teresa body-thievery of the "lust" therion Daemon. Nothing would indicate that Velvet is a ghost/phantom Daemon created by malevolence, nor would anything indicate that the corpse was fake, so what is up with the corpse?Ģ. The game shows a corpse of Velvet's wearing the prison garb, and Velvet starts screaming "I'm dead! I'm dead!" This was during her huge breakdown in the earthpulse where you fight the chimera, learn that Seres (who no doubt tastes like Hot Tamales candy when using the demon arm to nom her) is really Celica, etc. Velvet's corpse in the earthpulse: Wha? This was not a place where Melchior was using illusions or anything. A game can have a plot hole and not be bad at times. Run like hell if you haven't completed either game! I'm not looking for huge "apologist"-style leaps of logic for legitimate plot holes, or anything, though. This will have spoilers for BOTH Berseria AND Zestiria, no doubt, since both games take place in this world and might be relevant to the topic.
